Golf Tournament Benefits Sparks Campus Foundation

The Eufaula/Barbour County Chamber of Commerce hosted its 16th annual scholarship golf tournament on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, and raised $5,000 for Sparks Campus Existing Industry scholarships. Twenty-one teams competed in the 4-man scramble. WCC’s Lynn Bell, Mark Shope, Mackey Sasser, and Joe Johnson were among the winning golfers, and they donated their winnings back to the scholarship fund. The BB&T team also donated its winnings to the scholarship fund making the grand scholarship total $6,400. Alabama Power Company, represented by Richard Hutto, Vice President and Sparks Campus Foundation Board Member, served as the tournament’s presenting sponsor. Equity Group, Eufaula Division, LLC, represented by Tim Esslinger, General Manager and Sparks Campus Foundation Board Member, and Pepi Foods, represented by Vic Pemberton, President and Wallace Campus Foundation Board Member, served as the 19th Hole Food Sponsors.
