MyWCC Story for Sky Warganich
Major: Associate Degree Nursing
I selected Wallace Community College as a stepping stone for my education. Even though I graduated as Valedictorian of my senior class, I believed that Wallace was the right choice for me. At Wallace Community College, you are more than just a number... you are a person.
Currently, my major is pre-nursing. Wallace has an amazing nursing program that is comparable to the major universities in Alabama. I will apply for the ADN program fall 2014 and I will pursue my dream of becoming a nurse. When selecting my major, I knew I wanted a career that was rewarding and challenging. I wanted to make a difference in someone's life.
After graduating from the ADN program, I plan to take advantage of the online bridge program and earn my BSN. I plan to get a few years of experience in the ER and become a flight nurse.
As a student at Wallace, I automatically become involved with Rotaract. Rotaract is a service-based organization that promotes peace and serves the public interest. I served as secretary my freshman year and I will be serving as president my sophomore year. I am also honored to serve as a WCC Diplomat for my sophomore year.
