Part-Time Adult Education/English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher
Wallace Community College accepts applications for part-time Adult Education/ESL teachers to fill morning, afternoon, or evening classes at all College locations (Abbeville, Ashford, Clayton, Clio, Dothan, Eufaula, and Headland). Available positions are contingent upon enrollment and the instructional needs of the College.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution; one year of experience in GED preparation classes, ESL, or K-12 classes.
DUTIES: Provides and coordinates services and instruction to special populations, such as the economically and educationally disadvantaged, and disabled, or those for whom English is a second language. This position will serve as the primary contact and required providing instruction in academic areas (reading, math, and language, or English as a second language)for all assigned students. Instruction is based on the individual needs of each participant. Willing and able to work with disadvantaged adults on the basic academic level.
SALARY: $13.10 - $26.20 per hour, not to exceed 19 hours per week.
