Part-Time Professional Tutors-Upward Bound (Multiple Positions)

QUALIFICATIONSRequired:  Bachelor's degree in English, Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, Spanish, Education or related field.  Preferred:  Master's degree in English, Mathemaitcs, Science, Computer Science, Spanish, Education or relateed field; one year of classroom experience; experience working with at-risk students.

DUTIES:  The Professional Tutor conducts assigned classes and prepres instruction in accordance with overall design of Upward Bound project.

SALARY:  $18.19 per hour with Bachelor's degree; $22.68 per hour with Master's degree (not to exceed 19 hours per week). 

APPLICATION DEADLINE/PROCEDUREComplete application packets will be accepted by the Human Resources Office on a continuous basis and remain active for available positions.  Available positions are contingent upon enrollment and the instructional needs of the College.  A complete application packet consists of:

(1) Completed Wallace Community College employment application with three work references;
(2) Resume';
(3) Separate transcripts from each college attended (photocopies will sufice until employed-transcript copies must show the identification of the institution, the identification of the applicant, and verify that the applicant has received the minimum degree requirements as stated in the "Qualifications" "Required" section).

Must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time of appointment. All application materials must be submitted as a complete packet and will become the property of the College. Applicants who fail to submit all required information will be disqualified.
