Wallace Community College-Dothan Hosts Area Ministers


Dothan, Ala. – Ministers from several Dothan-area churches recently visited Wallace Community College-Dothan to learn more about College programs and services. The guests, who met in the WCCD Veteran’s Center, were also given an update on the Alabama Community College System. After their meeting, the group toured the Health Science Simulation Center and the virtual welding simulator, which is housed in the Welding Technology Building.

Attending the meeting were Rev. W.E. Marshall, Parks Chapel AME Church, Dothan; Dr. Charles Lewis, Dothan Community Church, Dothan; Pastor Curtis Harvey, Rhema Rock Church, Kinsey; and Dr. Rayford Malone, Greater Beulah Baptist Church, Dothan. WCCD attendees included Dr. Ashli Wilkins, dean, Institutional Services and Community Development; Jackie Screws, dean, Student Services and the Sparks Campus; Kathy Buntin, associate dean, Health Sciences; David Cobb, division director, Transitional Studies; Ryan Spry, director, Student and Campus Services; Joe Johnson, director, Workforce Development; and Stefanie Bowie, director, Adult Education. Also attending was Dean Mitchell, executive director, Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce.
