Part-Time Math Tutors (Multiple Positions)

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: High school diploma or GED; faculty recommendation from Math Department; documented successful achievement of skills and/or knowledge base in mathematics; and ability to understand and follow basic written and verbal instructions.

DUTIES: The Math Tutor provides mathematics assistance to individual or groups of students currently enrolled in the College. Demonstrates model work ethic skills related to reporting to work on time, demonstrating a caring attitude toward students, faculty members, and other College personnel. Maintains confidentiality in matters related to job performance.

SALARY: $7.25 per hour not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Complete application packets will be accepted by the Human Resources Office on a continuous basis and remain active for available positions. Available positions are contingent upon enrollment and the instructional needs of the College. A complete application packet consists of:

  1. Wallace Community College employment application with three work references;
  2. resume;
  3. faculty recommendation from Math Department; and
  4. documentation of successful completion of a Wallace Community College math course; and 
  5. high school or GED transcripts

Must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time of appointment. All application materials must be submitted as a complete packet.
