Come join our free English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes at Wallace Community College in Dothan every Tuesday and Thursday. The morning class is from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., and the evening class is from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. An English as a Second Language class is also held on the Wallace Community College, Sparks Campus, in Eufaula every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Registration and orientation is ongoing. Students can come to class, fill out a short enrollment form, and complete orientation and testing all in one day.
Rosetta Stone - Our ESL class for intermediate and advanced students implements the Rosetta Stone Language Program for individualized instruction. Students are assigned a level based on the result of their placement test. Students are introduced to vocabulary, grammar, sentences and meaning through practice in the workbooks. Then, they practice these same lessons on the computer to gain sound recognition and meaning in context. Every student works at his/her own pace. Students also practice conversation and pronunciation through interactive group work.
Citizenship - We encourage our students to study for their Citizenship Test, and include this instruction as part of our classes for those who wish to do so.
