University of South Alabama RN to BSN Track
The University of South Alabama College of Nursing in Mobile, Alabama offers an RN to BSN track is especially designed to meet the needs of registered nurses desiring a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. As is the intent of the RN to BSN concept, the curriculum offers the registered nurse the opportunity to advance their degree without unnecessary repetition of course content. The USA nursing program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Within the USA RN to BSN track, all nursing courses are offered completely in the on-line format for the convenience of working nurses. Web-based nursing courses are accessible anytime and from anywhere and are designed for completion in one calendar year of full-time study. Part-time study options are also available. Students are admitted to the USA RN to BSN program in fall and spring semesters each year with April 1 and August 1 application deadlines, respectively. RN to BSN students are assisted to complete the practice requirements for the degree in their home communities. The curriculum is comprised of nineteen (19) general education pre-requisite requirements (61 semester hours) and a professional component consisting of nine (9) nursing courses (33 semester hours). Transfer credit for thirty nine (39) semester hours is awarded for prior completion of the Associate or Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing.
In addition to the traditional RN to BSN track for Registered Nurses, USA also offers options for RN to BSN/MSN, RN to MSN, and RN to MSN for RNs holding a non-nursing bachelor’s degree.
