Several of the Govs had good days at the plate. Leading the way was short stop Ernesto Gonzales who went 2-for-5 with five RBIs. Both of those hits were home runs.
Dennis Perez was 4-for-4 with a triple, double, and two singles. Brett Chamberlain was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a single and two RBIs. Cody Shields was 2-for-5 with a triple and a single and two RBIs. Michael Precise was 2-for-5 with an RBIs.
Dave Mason picked up the win. He pitched five innings and struck out nine.
Wallace is now 5-2 in the Southern Division. The Govs will complete their conference series with the Patriots when they play in a double header beginning Saturday at noon.
