 Dothan’s Joseph Braswell got the win, while Abbeville’s Brett Birdsong got the save.
At the plate, Giovanni Ortiz had three hits and two RBIs. Ryan Reece was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Brett Chamberlain and Cody Shields also had hits for the Govs.
Wallace is now 21-12 on the season. The Govs return to conference play this weekend when they travel to Enterprise to take on Enterprise-Ozark Community College. Friday’s game gets underway at 1 p.m. and the Saturday double-header will get underway at noon.
