| For the first time this season, the Wallace Govs have dropped a conference series. After losing to Faulkner on Friday, the Govs could only manage a split on Saturday. | |
| On Friday, Wallace lost 7-5. David Travis took the loss. Offensively, Andrew Starr was 2-for-4 with two home runs and two RBIs. Cody Shields was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Michael Precise had two sacrifice flies good for two RBIs. In an offensive slugfest, the Govs lost the first game of the double header Saturday 12-11. Mitchell Davidson took the loss. Andrew Starr was 3-for-5 with two RBIS. Harman Watkins was 3-for-5 with one RBI. Michael Precise was 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. Wallace won game two 10-4. Cody Shields got the win. Precise was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Ryan Reece was 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Brett Chamberlain was 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Dennis Perez was 2-for-2 with an RBI. The Govs will play a make-up game at home Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. against Chipola. The final conference series of the year will be played Friday and Satruday at Wallace against Alabama Southern. | |
