| MONTGOMERY--Shelton State is the defending junior college state champion, but that apparently didn't impress the Wallace Govs Monday afternoon. Playing on the campus of Auburn-Montgomery, Wallace defeated Shelton 16-7. |
At the plate, Harman Watkins went 3-for-6 with two RBIs. Brett Chamberlain was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Jonathan Eaves was 4-for-5 with a grand slam and four RBIs. Rafael Cartlot was 4-for-5 with four RBIs. Every batter in the Govs lineup had at least one hit.
The win went to Daniel Carela. Wallace is now. The Govs are 14-9 on the season and will return to conference play this Friday and Saturday against Jeff Davis in Brewton. |
