How To Install Ad-Aware
This page will tell you how to install Ad-Aware on your computer. Ad-Aware is an anti-spyware program that will help protect your computer from any spyware or adware programs.

STEP 1:
First step is to open up a web browser and go to www.lavasoftusa.com. |

STEP 2:
On the left side of the window, click the link for "Ad-Aware Personal."

STEP 3:
Click the "Download Now" link. (This link will be red)

STEP 4:
You will be taken to another page, you will then click the "Download Now" link. (This one will be green)

STEP 5:
Click on "Run" on the box that pops up. Once you click on this, it will start to download the program and might take a while depending on your internet speed.

STEP 6:
Once it has finished downloading, it will pop up another box. You will click the "Run" button again.

STEP 7:
Now you will will see a new box that will explain that you are about to install Ad-Aware on your machine. You will click the "Next" button to continue.

STEP 8:
Now you will will see a new box that will explain all the license agreements about installing this program. Once you have read these, check the "I accept the license agreement" checkbox. Once you have checked the box, you will then be able to click the "Next" button.

STEP 9:
Once you click "Next" it will show you a box that will ask you where you want to install the program. You will just click the "Next" button and accept the defaults.

STEP 10:
Make sure that the "Anyone who uses this computer" option is checked, and then click "Next."

STEP 11:
Click "Next" on the screen telling you that you are now ready to install the progam.

STEP 12:
You will see a box pop up that has two bars across it showing that you are installing the program to your computer. Once it finishes, the following box will appear. Make sure the top two boxes are selected, unless you want to read the help information now. Then click "Finish."

STEP 13:
You will see a screen pop up looking like the following image. This is running the update for the program.

STEP 14:
Once the updating has finished, a new box will appear. The new box is the scan in process.
