How To Run Ad-Aware
This page will tell you how to run Ad-Aware on your computer. Ad-Aware is an anti-spyware program that will help protect your computer from any spyware or adware programs.
STEP 1:
Open up the program by clicking on the icon below or by going Start --> Programs --> Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal --> Ad-Aware SE Personal
STEP 2:
Click "Start" on the bottom of the window.
STEP 3:
Select the "Perform Full System Scan" option and then click "Next."
STEP 4:
The scan will then begin and look like the following image.
STEP 5:
Once the scan has finished, you will have the following screen appear. Scan through the items and check all the items. If you want to select them all you will right click anywhere on the blue area.
STEP 6:
Then you will select "Select All Objects" from the menu that pops up.
STEP 7:
Now click the "Next" button.
STEP 8:
This will pop up a screen that shows that the files are being deleted from your computer and take you back to the original screen.
