How To Zip Files and Folders with WinZip
WinZip allows you to create archives by zipping selected files and folders. Because you need a few files/folders to work with, I suggest that you perform the first six steps from the How To titled "Remove a single file or folder", then proceed with the steps below.

STEP 1:
On your computer's desktop locate and double click on the "My Computer" object.

STEP 2:
Now locate your "Local Disk (C:)" drive and double click on it.

STEP 3:
Now locate and double click on the "HowTo" folder .

STEP 4:
The folder opens up showing you its contents. You will noltice that there are both files as well as folders within the "HowTo" folder.

STEP 5:
In this step, you must first select the files and/or folders you want to use to create an archive "zip file" for.

STEP 6:
Right click on any of the selected files or folders and from the shortcut point to "WinZip" then select the "Add to Zip File..." option.

STEP 7:
Select the "Use Evaluation Version" button.

STEP 8:
Now type the name for the archive and click on the "Add" button. If you need assistance with this window click on the "Help" button.

STEP 9:
Your archive or "Zip" file is now created. The title bar shows you the name you gave on the previous step. The six files you selected on step five are part of this archive. Click on the "Close" button to close the application and the archive.

STEP 10:
The HowTo folder now contains a new file named "Mydata" of type Zip.

STEP 11:
For more information on WinZip's options and features access its "Help Manual".
