How To Change the Background Color of a PowerPoint Presentation
This page will tell you how to change the background color of either a single slide or all the slides in a PowerPoint Presentation.
STEP 1:
From the Toolbar in PowerPoint, click on the "Format" button.
STEP 2:
Now click on the "Background" button. This will open up the background color properties box. From here you can change the color by clicking the down arrow shown here. Then you can select a color.
STEP 3:
Once you have selected the color, you will notice the little display picture has the background color you selected. If you want to preview it on the slide, you will click the "Preview" button and it will change the cuttent slide for a preview. If you don't like the current slide color, then follow Steps 2 and 3 again until you find the color you like.
STEP 4 (option 1):
If you like the color you can then apply it to the current slide for good by clicking the "Apply" button.
OR
STEP 4 (option 2):
If you want this background color on all the slide, you will click the "Apply to All" button on the right.
STEP 5:
Click the little disk icon on the toolbar to SAVE the presentation.
