How To Install Respondus
This action allows you to install Respondus to your computer. Respondus is a Windows powerful tool for creating surveys, quizzes and question banks for WebCT.
STEP 1:
To begin the installation process, locate the Respondus3Campus.exe file that was downloaded to your computer's desktop. Then double-click on the installation program as illustrated below:
STEP 2:
On this window, you are then going to click on the "Run"button.
STEP 3:
In this step, you click on the "OK" button.
STEP 4:
Once the file is saved click "Unzip" to extract the necessary files required by the program for the installation.
STEP 5:
Once the files are successfully unzipped click on the "OK" button.
STEP 6:
Once the Welcome to the Respondus setup program windows appears click on the "Next" button.
STEP 7:
Once the Software License Agreement windows click on the "Yes button.
STEP 8:
From the Choose Destination Location windows click on the "Next" button. Notice the default location hightlighted below.
STEP 9:
On the Choose Documents Folder click on the "Next" button. Notice the default location hightlighted below.
STEP 10:
If so desired, click on the "Yes" button to install the Respondus Equation Editor. Otherwise, choose the "No" button.
STEP 11:
When the Respondus Setup Completes click the "Finish" button.
STEP 12:
Click on the "OK" button from the Respondus Equation Editor Setup window.
STEP 13:
Click on the "Yes" button from the Respondus Equation Editor Setup window to create the required folder on your computer.
STEP 14:
Uncheck the "View Read Me" box and click on the "OK" button from the Respondus Equation Editor Installation Complete window.
STEP 15:
Locate the "Respondus" program icon and double-click on it to open the program for the very first time.
STEP 16:
Enter the Institution's name, the Local Support contacts and the Installation Password as depicted below. Click on the "License" button.
STEP 17:
If interested, you may sign up for an e-Newsletter from Respondus and StudyMate software. If so, click on the "Sign Up for e-Newsletter" button and follow the instructions. Click on the "Close" to proceed to the next window.
STEP 18:
From the scroll button below select the WebCT 3.x - 4.x personality then click on the "OK" button to proceed.
