How To Check for and Update StudyMate
The "Check for Update" tool, located on the Help pull-down menu, provides an easy way to see if an update is available for StudyMate.

STEP 1:
To manually check for a software update, select the “Check for Update” option from the Help pull-down menu (you will need a live Internet connection). StudyMate will instantly return a message indicating whether or not an upgrade is available. If an update is available from StudyMate, you can let StudyMate download the required file(s) automaitically and update the software for you.

STEP 2:
If an upgrade is not available from StudyMate, a window with such indication appears. Simply click on the "OK" button.

Note:
When StudyMate is used to publish learning activities, it will automatically check to see if an update is available for the StudyMate software. If you prefer that StudyMate does not automatically check for an update during the publishing step, go to the File menu, select Preferences, an unselect the appropriate checkbox then click on the "OK" button.
