Among the fastest growing occupations from 2002-2012 are Database Administrators, Network Systems, Data Communications, Applications and Systems Engineers, Systems Analysts, and Computer and Information Systems Managers.

Wallace Community College offers CIS courses designed to transfer to universities (AA or AS Degree) as well as CIS technical degree options (AAS Degree) designed for the student who will complete training at WCC and then move on to the workplace.

CIS transfer classes prepare students for university degrees in fields such as Computer and Software Engineering, Management/Computer/Accounting Information Systems, Systems Analysis, Programming, Internet Technologies, etc.

AAS degree options prepare students for the workforce with jobs in Software support, Computer programming, and Internet technologies.
