Summer 2018 Wallace Community College Foundation Scholarships - Wallace Campus in Dothan and Sparks Campus in Eufaula


The WCC Foundations are excited to announce the Wallace Community College Foundations (Sparks and Wallace) Summer 2018 scholarship application may be completed and submitted online. The deadline for submission is April 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.

American Welding Society Foundation Scholarships (External)


Since 1991, the AWS Foundation has helped students from around the world to realize their dreams and make them a reality. AWS Foundation scholarships help students with their financial obligations; they help to cover a variety of school expenses such as tuition and fees, books and other supplies.

2018 Grainger Tools for Tomorrow® Scholarships


Grainger Tools is looking for students who stand out in achievement and leadership and intend to enter the skilled trades, public safety or supply chain workforce upon graduation. They are offering two $2000 Grainger Tools for Tomorrow® Scholarships to students in certain skilled trade and public safety. Applicant must be enrolled in any one of the following Associate in Applied Science (AAS) programs: Air Conditioning/Refrigeration, Automotive Technology, Electrical Technology, Applied Engineering Technology (Industrial Systems Technology or Nuclear Systems Technology), Criminal Justice (Law Enforcement Concentration) and Emergency Medical Services – Paramedic. One of the two scholarships will be awarded to a U.S. Military Veteran. These scholarships are open to students on both the Dothan and Sparks campuses. Application deadline is 3:00 p.m. on March 22, 2018.

Fall 2018 Army Emergency Relief Scholarships (External)


Army Emergency Relief provides scholarships for dependent children and spouses of active duty, retired, and deceased Army Soldiers. The application and all instructions are on their website, www.aerhq.org. The deadline to apply for the 2018-2019 academic year is April 2, 2018.

2018 Mattie Kolb Scholarship (External)


The Financial Aid Office has received information for the Mattie Kolb Scholarship which is a $500 scholarship awarded yearly by the Dothan District United Methodist Women. The application and official transcripts must be mailed no later than April 15, 2018.

2018-2019 Troy University Scholarships (External)


The Financial Aid Office has received information for the Troy University Scholarship application process for 2018-2019. The deadline for all Troy University Dothan Campus scholarships is May 1, 2018.

2018 Brookwood Medical Auxiliary, Inc. Scholarship (External)


The members of the Brookwood Medical Auxiliary, Inc. are pleased to inform you that they will be awarding several scholarships in medically related fields for the school year 2018-2019. The deadline for receipt of the applications and all accompany documents is May 24, 2018. Applicants will be informed of scholarship decisions in July.

Automotive Aftermarket Scholarships - Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 (External)


The University of the Aftermarket Foundation operates the Automotive Aftermarket Scholarships Central website and, along with more than 40 other automotive organizations and donors, awards scholarships to students who apply online at www.automotivescholarships.com.

If there is such a thing a pulling a victory from jaws of defeat, that is exactly what the Wallace College Govs did Wednesday afternoon against the Andrew College Fighting Tigers. In the bottom of the ninth inning and with two outs, the Govs were trailing by two runs. To make matters worse, the Govs were facing the Tigers’ closer.
