How English Courses Meet Degree and Transfer Requirements


Com 103 (Introductory Technical English II) partially satisfies the Area II requirement for the applicable certificates.  This course may not be transferable to other colleges and universities and is not required in many programs of study.  It is the responsibility of the student desiring transfer credit to check with their transfer institution to assure applicability of courses toward their planned education goals.

English 092 (Basic English I) is a developmental course, and no credit will be given toward a degree at Wallace College.  However, when placement scores indicate the need, it is necessary to take this course to be prepared to meet the Area I requirement for the Associate in Arts, the Associate in Science, and the Associate in Applied Science degrees.

English 093 (Basic English II) is a developmental course, and no credit will be given toward a degree at Wallace College.  However, when placement scores and work in ENG 092 indicate the need, it is necessary to take this course to be prepared to meet the Area I requirement for the Associate in Arts, the Associate in Science, and the Associate in Applied Science degrees.

English 101 (English Composition I) partially satisfies the Area I for the Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science Degrees, and the humanities and fine arts requirement for the Associate in Applied Science Degree.  This course is transferable to other colleges and universities and is required in many programs of study.  It is the responsibility of the students desiring transfer credit to check with their transfer institution to assure applicability of courses toward their planned educational goals.

English 102
