HEALTH SCIENCES RESOURCE CENTER

In response to the challenges brought about by increasing needs for healthcare workers, the College seeks to assist each of its students to achieve their career goals. The Health Sciences Resource Center (HSRC), located in Rane Hall 110 on the Wallace Campus in Dothan, originated as part of a U. S. Department of Labor Community-Based Job Training Grant. In addition to software applications to reinforce student learning and an area for study groups, the HSRC provides on-campus and on-line supplemental resources to students in each of the health programs, as well as access to free tutorial services. Along with academic assistance, the HSRC houses information regarding community resources that may assist students with their personal and economic needs. Employment opportunities as tutors are available to qualified health program students. Resources offered by the HSRC are available free of charge to every student enrolled in one of the College’s health programs. Students access the HSRC through their Blackboard Learning Management System.
