Service - Learning
Wallace Community College is committed to service in the community. One way students are making an impact in the community is through Service-Learning projects. Service-Learning combines community service with classroom instruction, focusing on critical, reflective thinking as well as personal and civic responsibility.
Service-Learning programs involve students in activities that address local needs while developing their academic skills and commitment to their community. Several projects have been successfully implemented across campuses, including a partnership with IMPACT Alabama’s FocusFirst project and our Leadership Development program cohort.
