The Wallace Community College counseling process begins during recruitment, when prospective students are provided with information pertinent to making career decisions. This process continues when placement tests are administered to enrollees and as students consult faculty advisors and counselors throughout their tenure at Wallace Community College.

Current students, prospective students, and alumni have access to a variety of career exploration resources, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) instrument, Strong Interest Inventory® assessment, O*NET™ Online database, and the DISCOVER® career exploration program. Students can print transfer guides based on their major using the Statewide Articulation Reporting System (STARS). A step-by-step guide is available to each student at Orientation, in the Counseling Offices, in the Career Lab, and in the Student Affairs Coordinator's Offices. Each campus has access to computerized occupational information system through the databases of Alabama's State Employment Office - https://joblink.alabama.gov/ada/. Faculty and staff are also available to assist students with their career searches.
