Health services information is available at each campus.  Workshops on different health issues are held on a regular basis in each community.  Notification of these workshops is posted in the Career Center or Student Services at each campus.  The Associate Degree in Nursing Department sponsors a health fair every fall semester on the Dothan Campus that is open to all WCC students.  Information relating to health and safety is provided to all students during the college’s orientation program. 

Counseling Services:

  1. Provides students with a list of health providers in the College area.
  2. Posts information in Grimsley Hall regarding area hospitals medical information lunches/seminars.
  3. Health education brochures are on display for students in the Career Lab.
  4. All athletes at the College are required to attend a Drug/Alcohol Awareness Workshop.
  5. Advertises and encourages all students to participate in the annual Fall Health Fair sponsored by the Associate Degree in Nursing students.
  6. Counsels students with any personal, career, or health related situation and refers as needed.
