About Student Support Services
Student Support Services is a federally funded program by the U.S. Department of Education that provides support services for eligible students.

Students desiring free tutoring from experienced tutors are encouraged to apply.

Wallace Community College has been home for Student Support Services, since 1984. Located in Dothan, Alabama, the college has approximately 4,000 students enrolled each year. Of these students, 80% qualify for Student Support Services services.

Student Support Services offers high quality, intensive, academic assistance and support services to 365 at-risk participants each year who meet certain eligibility requirements.

Student Support Services also offers counseling services and resources. Transfer students who qualify may participate in campus tours to senior universities throughout Alabama.

Student Support Services offers a supportive atmosphere that is conducive to a student's academic and social development. A flexible schedule, including evening hours, is offered to meet the need of all students.
