Wallace Community College – Sparks Campus in Eufaula recently pinned six new Certified Nursing Assistants in a ceremony held December 11.

Area high schools visited Wallace Community College Dothan Tuesday, October 22, for the 2019 Leadership Summit. Students listened to guest speakers and participated in leadership activities throughout the day.

Kidney Transplant Leads Jason Whitman to Wallace


Jason Whitman was given a second chance at life and a career when he received a new kidney last year. When Whitman was 19 and serving in the Marines, he learned that he had Polycystic Kidney Disease. The disease, which causes cysts to form in the kidneys and slowly decreases their function, first showed up when he was doing exercises in the Marines.

Wallace Community College helps kickoff year three with GTech


Wallace Community College (WCC) is excited to start its third year of partnership with the Geneva Regional Career Technical Center. Monday, GTech held orientation for students and had an array of special guests, including WCC President Dr. Linda Young, to speak and wish them well this school year.

Lydia Dutton spent her freshman year as a manager for the Lady Govs Softball team. She plans to return to the team for the 2019-2020 season.

Govs rally to win in 11 innings


If there is such a thing a pulling a victory from jaws of defeat, that is exactly what the Wallace College Govs did Wednesday afternoon against the Andrew College Fighting Tigers. In the bottom of the ninth inning and with two outs, the Govs were trailing by two runs. To make matters worse, the Govs were facing the Tigers’ closer.
