Division Mission Statement
General Education Outcomes
Students completing courses within the Natural Sciences Division will be able to demonstrate the following general education competencies:
- Critical Thinking— Analyze problems by differentiating fact from opinions, using evidence from diverse sources effectively, and using sound reasoning to specify multiple solutions and their consequences.
- Quantitative Literacy (Reasoning) or Numeracy —(1) Identify, (2) analyze, and (3) solve problems that are quantitative in nature.
- Scientific and Technological Effectiveness— Use processes, procedures, data, or evidence to solve problems and make effective decisions, utilize the appropriate technology effectively for informational, academic, personal, and professional needs.
