Non-Traditional Careers

Wallace Community College believes in equipping students to successfully move into high-demand occupations with the opportunity for great pay and advancement. Wallace awards associate degrees in 41 programs and certificates in both credit and non-credit programs. The College is a recognized leader in nursing and allied health education, career technical, and academic education as well as workforce development partnerships with area businesses and adult education.

Our programs are designed to advance students into careers that will not only give them higher wages and better benefits, but the freedom to pursue a career that fits their talents and interests.

Do you want something different?

Think about a non-traditional career. Increasingly, students are choosing to go into fields that they have never considered before. Women can repair cars, become electricians, or become a welder and earn a high-dollar salary. Men in nursing (associate degree and practical), physical therapy assisting, medical assisting, and child development find that their choice of a non-traditional program gives them a satisfying career with a good paycheck.

Think Non-Traditional!

A non-traditional career path can give you better wages, better benefits, and broader job opportunities.

Think about it!
