CIS 146 Challenge Exam

The CIS 146 Challenge Exam is available for students who are pursuing degrees in programs that require competency in Computer Science. These programs include but are not limited to: Associate Degree Nursing, Emergency Medical Services, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapist, Associate in Science, and Associate in Arts degree (as per the 2013-2014 College Catalog and Student Handbook). Students would be required to take CIS 146 if they are not successful on the CIS 146 Challenge Exam. Students pursuing a program that includes CIS 146 as a part of the curriculum will be required to take the CIS 146 course.

The CIS 146 Challenge Exam is given in Grimsley Hall room 126 on the Wallace Campus in Dothan.

Students interested in taking the CIS 146 Challenge Exam on one of the dates listed below should email the request to register for exam to testing@wallace.edu.  Students should use a valid email address that is checked often.  Register at least 24 hours prior to the exam.  A confirmation email will be sent to the email address used for registration.  Students must arrive 15 minutes prior to testing to Grimsley Hall, Room 126 on the Wallace Campus in Dothan.  For questions regarding the CIS 146 Challenge Exam at Wallace Community College, call (334) 556-2296. 

Accommodations for Students with Disabilities

According to the U.S. Department of Education’s Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, a students with a disability may be defined as any individual who:

  • Has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more major life activities;

  • Has a record of such an impairment; or

  • Is regarded as having such an impairment
