Wallace Community College to hold COVID-19 vaccine clinics on Dothan, Sparks campuses

Dothan, Ala. – Wallace Community College, in partnership with the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), will offer two (2) COVID-19 vaccine clinics on the Wallace Campus in Dothan as well as two (2) on the Sparks Campus in Eufaula.

These clinics will be open to eligible members of the public, students, and employees in accordance with ADPH guidelines.

The first Wallace Campus in Dothan clinic is August 25 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The second Wallace Campus in Dothan clinic is September 22 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Both will be held at the Community Enrichment Center.

The first Sparks Campus in Eufaula vaccine clinic is August 25 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.   The second Sparks Campus in Eufaula clinic is September 22 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Both clinics will be held at the Bevill Center.

Wallace Community College will offer a $100 gift card to fully vaccinated Wallace students as an incentive. Additionally, students will be entered into a raffle for one of five $250 gift cards. To be eligible for the gift cards and raffle, students must present their vaccination status by September 22. Students do not have to have their vaccines at the on-campus clinics to be eligible.

Community colleges throughout the state are authorized to hold vaccine clinics under the direction of the Alabama Community College System (ACCS). “The College is so pleased that we are able to partner with the Alabama Department of Public Health to offer vaccine clinics to our students, employees, and community members,” says Dr. Linda C. Young, Wallace Community College president. “As a community college, open access is one of our core principles, and helping to make vaccines available in the hopes of slowing the spread of this virus allows us to live our mission.”
