Prior to attending New Student Experience:

- Be sure to complete the WCC application for general admission and have any Financial Aid applications completed.
- First-time WCC students with dual-enrollment credit, AP (advanced placement) credit, and any prior college credit must have all official transcripts sent to the WCC Admissions Office.
- Make an advising appointment with our Advising Center.

Before attending in-person orientation, you’ll want to:
- Make sure you have officially been admitted to Wallace Community College (WCC).
- Know your WCC student ID number.
- Prepare any questions you may have about getting started at WCC.
We strongly recommend scheduling an advising appointment before attending. Academic Advisors will also be available to assist those who have not yet registered for classes.
You can! We understand parents/guardians may have questions so we encourage you to invite them along. Limit to two additional guests.
New Student Experience is a come-and-go event held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the Dothan campus and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the Eufaula campus. Information sessions will begin at the top of each hour.
At New Student Experience, you will:
- Connect with fellow Govs and start building friendships
- Meet our student leaders and ask any questions you may have
- Explore and join WCC clubs and organizations
- Learn about support at WCC (
UWill counseling services,
Math Lab tutoring,
Writing Center support,
and more) - Tour the campus and locate your classrooms
- Get your student ID and parking pass
- Attend informative sessions for both students and parents
- Speak with financial aid representatives
- Visit the bookstore for required books and supplies
- Take photos with the President, Deans, and other administrators
- Win prizes, receive WCC giveaways, and enter for a scholarship opportunity
- Celebrate being a Gov with pride and school spirit
