Barbour County Commission Recognizes April as Community College Month

The Barbour County Commission has declared April as Community College Month, honoring the contributions of Wallace Community College in expanding educational access, supporting workforce training, and strengthening local communities.

Dr. Amy Greene, Director of the Sparks Campus, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the College and expressed appreciation for the Commission’s ongoing support. The recognition underscores Wallace’s role in creating opportunities for students and meeting the evolving needs of the region.

Community College Month is observed nationwide each April to celebrate the value and impact of community colleges.
