City of Abbeville Proclaims April as Community College Month with WCCD

The City of Abbeville officially proclaimed April as Community College Month during its City Council meeting on Monday, recognizing the significant impact Wallace Community College has on students, workforce development, and the local community.

The proclamation highlights the College’s commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education and training that supports economic growth and opportunity throughout the Wiregrass.

WCCD President Dr. Kathy Murphy accepted the proclamation on behalf of Wallace Community College and expressed appreciation for the City’s continued support of the College’s mission.

Community College Month is observed each April to celebrate the important role community colleges play in transforming lives and strengthening communities.
