Dale County Commission Proclaims April as Community College Month

WCCD President Dr. Kathy Murphy accepts a proclamation declaring April Community College Month in Dale County from the Dale County Commission.

The Dale County Commission has officially proclaimed April as Community College Month, recognizing the impact Wallace Community College-Dothan (WCCD) has on education, workforce development, and economic growth throughout the region.

WCCD President Dr. Kathy L. Murphy accepted the proclamation on behalf of the College and expressed appreciation for the County’s continued support and partnership. The recognition highlights Wallace’s commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education and training that strengthens communities and prepares a skilled workforce.

Community College Month is celebrated each April to raise awareness of the important role community colleges play in transforming lives and supporting local economies.
