Houston County Commission Proclaims April as Community College Month

The Houston County Commission has officially proclaimed April as Community College Month, recognizing the important role Wallace Community College plays in advancing education, workforce development, and economic growth in the Wiregrass.

Dr. Chris Franklin, Dean of Student Services, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the College from Commissioner Curtis Harvey and shared appreciation for the County’s continued support and partnership. The recognition highlights Wallace’s commitment to student success and community impact.

Community College Month is celebrated each April to raise awareness of the value community colleges bring to their regions and the students they serve.
