WCCD graduates celebrate after moving their tassels at the conclusion of the 2026 Spring Commencement ceremony on Monday, May 11, 2026.

Wallace Community College-Dothan (WCCD) celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2026 during a commencement ceremony held May 11, 2026, at the Dothan Civic Center. The ceremony recognized graduates from the Wallace Campus in Dothan and the Sparks Campus in Eufaula across career technical, health sciences, academic transfer, and dual enrollment programs.

During the Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026 semesters, WCCD awarded 1,601 degrees and certificates to 1,135 graduates. For the Spring 2026 semester alone, the College recognized 543 graduates and awarded 676 degrees and certificates, with 339 graduates participating in the commencement ceremony.

The commencement program featured remarks from college leadership, student speakers, and recognition of distinguished alumni and retiring employees. Dr. Kathy Murphy, WCCD President, conferred degrees and certificates upon graduates representing a wide range of academic and workforce training programs.

Student commencement addresses were delivered by Ms. Macy Case, representing the Sparks Campus, and Ms. Nashunni Williams, representing the Wallace Campus.

During the ceremony, WCCD also recognized its 2026 Alumni of the Year, Dr. Nancy Hein Covert (Wallace Campus), and Mr. Jim Roberson (Sparks Campus). As part of the ceremony, Wallace recognized its 2025-2026 retirees for their years of service and dedication to students and the college community.

The ceremony also highlighted WCCD’s continued commitment to academic excellence, with numerous students graduating with distinction, cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude honors across all divisions of the college.

WCCD continues to provide pathways for students seeking workforce credentials, university transfer opportunities, and career advancement through accessible, high-quality education and training programs that support the needs of the Wiregrass region and beyond.
