Wallace Community College-Dothan (WCCD) Director of Institutional Effectiveness Mandy Sessions has been awarded the Joseph T. Sutton Leadership Award by the Alabama Association for Institutional Research (ALAIR), recognizing her leadership and outstanding accomplishments in the field of institutional research.

The Joseph T. Sutton Leadership Award honors individuals in Alabama who have demonstrated exemplary service and leadership in institutional research and related fields, actively supported the mission and goals of ALAIR, and contributed to the advancement of research, assessment, and data-informed decision-making through innovation and professional service. Recipients are also recognized for involvement in professional organizations through leadership roles, committee service, conference participation, and presentations that strengthen the field at the institutional, state, and national levels.

Sessions received the award during the ALAIR annual conference, where she was recognized by Dr. Preston Robinson III, ALAIR Past President and Chair of the Awards Committee.

“I am honored to have received the Joseph T. Sutton Leadership Award at this year’s Alabama Association for Institutional Research Conference,” said Sessions. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many dedicated colleagues who are committed to advancing institutional research and using data to support student success and informed decision-making across our institutions. I’m also thankful for the mentors, colleagues, and teams I’ve had the privilege to work with throughout my career who make this work both meaningful and impactful.”

Sessions oversees institutional effectiveness, planning, assessment, and data reporting for WCCD, supporting initiatives that promote student success, accountability, and continuous improvement across the College.
