The Fine Arts Division at Wallace Community College-Dothan (WCCD) has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts (ASCA) to support a vocal clinic for high school students across the Wiregrass. The clinic will be led by Natalie Weiss, American Idol Season 4 semi-finalist and Broadway performer, during her visit to WCCD this October.
Weiss will perform in concert on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Bencze Theatre on the Wallace Campus in Dothan. Admission to the concert is $10 for students and $20 for adults, and tickets are on sale now at wallace.edu or available at the Bencze box office one hour before the concert.
On Thursday, October 9, 2025, she will lead a vocal clinic, offering area high school students an opportunity to learn directly from a nationally recognized performer and educator.
The grant from ASCA makes it possible for WCCD to offer this workshop experience free of charge to participating students.
“We greatly appreciate the support of the Alabama State Council on the Arts and their Live Arts Learning Grant, which will cover the cost of the Natalie Weiss vocal clinic for Wiregrass middle and high school students,” said Ben Lundy, WCCD Theatre Instructor. “This will be a memorable and impactful educational opportunity that will inspire, motivate, and transform the lives of talented performers from all over the state of Alabama”.
