Wallace Community College-Dothan (WCCD) is proud to announce that its chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society has been named a 2025 REACH Chapter, a national recognition awarded to chapters that demonstrate excellence in membership development and student engagement.
The REACH Rewards program honors Phi Theta Kappa chapters that actively promote academic achievement and connect eligible students with the many benefits of membership. These benefits include scholarship opportunities, leadership development, and increased engagement with peers and faculty, all of which contribute to higher student completion rates.
As a 2025 REACH Chapter, WCCD’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter will receive official Phi Theta Kappa graduation stoles, which will be distributed to chapter members to wear during commencement ceremonies in celebration of their academic success and college completion milestone.
In a letter announcing the recognition, Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, President and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, said the dedication of both the college leadership and chapter advisors to enhancing the college experience and the lives of students is truly appreciated and more important than ever before.
Phi Theta Kappa is the premier honor society recognizing the academic achievement of students at associate-degree granting institutions. Membership is extended to high-achieving students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship.
