Instrumental Music
Students who pursue Instrumental Music at Wallace Community College have a variety of opportunities to study privately on their primary instrument, as well as classroom or private piano, music theory, music history, vocal ensembles, and perform with the college’s instrumental music ensemble.
The instrumental music ensemble performs at numerous events throughout the school year, including a winter showcase, Foster Fest, a spring Pop’s Concert, as well as in collaboration with the college’s show choir “The Wallace Sound”, and as part of the Performing Arts Department’s Spring Musical Theatre production.

Brass, Woodwind, and Percussion Instrumentalists
Scholarships ranging from half to full tuition are available for up to two years.
Our ensembles perform a wide variety of wind and percussion literature, including traditional concert works, jazz, and percussion ensemble repertoire.
Applicants should prepare two contrasting works for their audition. Please bring your own instrument (except for piano and drum set) and copies of your music.
