The Alabama Power Foundation is accepting applications for the 2022 scholarship awards for children and dependents of Alabama Power employees and retirees. The deadline to apply is Feb. 18.
Each of the 20 scholarships is worth $2,500 and is renewable for up to four years. These scholarships are available to students attending a four-year school as well as students who are pursuing a skill at a technical or vocational school.
This year, two presidential scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors. One scholarship will be to attend a four-year public college, and one to attend a vocational/technical/associate program. Recipients of the presidential scholarships must attend an in-state school. The presidential scholarships cover all tuition and fees and are renewable until the degree or certification is earned based on program requirements.
