Graduation Ceremony

Wallace Community College 2026 Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Dothan Civic Center on May 11, 2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

A professional photographer will be on site to photograph graduates before the ceremony begins. Only graduates who have placed and paid for an order in advance will be photographed.

Graduates may place an order online at the Mark Broadway Photography website or call (334) 798-9455.

Graduates who achieve academic honors receive a notation on their diploma and transcript. Because final semester grades are not available before the ceremony, Latin honors are determined based on the student’s prior semester cumulative GPA.

Latin Honors (Degree Students):

  • Summa Cum Laude: 3.90–4.00
  • Magna Cum Laude: 3.70–3.89
  • Cum Laude: 3.50–3.69

Certificate Students:

  • Graduation with Distinction: 3.50–4.00

Students may also wear approved organization or honor society regalia, which must be obtained in advance from the sponsoring group and are not distributed at commencement.

Graduation means you have completed all requirements for your degree or certificate. Once approved, your credential appears on your transcript, and you may request your diploma.

Commencement (Graduation Ceremony) is the event held to celebrate your achievement with family and friends. While participation is optional, it is a meaningful milestone for many students and their loved ones.

To be officially recognized as a graduate, you must submit a graduation application. This ensures your credential is recorded on your transcript, which is important for verifying your education with employers.

🌟Please consult with family and/or friends before deciding whether or not to participate in the graduation ceremony. Often family members want to share this milestone. If you do not order graduation regalia and diploma by the deadline, you will not be able to participate.
