The Learning Resource Center offers access to many databases for student use. You must be a current Wallace student to access the databases.

To access databases from off-campus, please sign in using your Alabama.edu email and password.


Available Databases:

Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) is a collection of online databases that have magazines, journals, newspapers, and e-books for research purposes. Out-of-state users are required to use username and password provided by public libraries and public school libraries in the State of Alabama.

Bloom’s Literature Reference Collection contains information about literary works and their authors.

Credo Reference provides selections from books for a variety of research topics.

Wallace College E-Book Collection contains over 150,000 books in digital format.

JSTOR contains journals and books on a wide variety of topics.

OVID Nursing Collection contains books and journals related to nursing and allied health.

ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Premium contains scholarly literature, up to date full video content, reference materials, evidence-based resources, dissertations and systematic reviews related to nursing and allied health.

Salem Press Reference Collection contains e-books for a variety of research topics.

Tech-Talk is a user-friendly and easy-to-understand library of technology and communication articles, videos, and webinars.

Videatives is a streaming service of short video clips demonstrating scenarios in child development and education.  Each video is accompanied by supporting, explanatory text.

Visible Body by Ovid is a 3-D dimensional, graphics intensive, manipulative analysis of the human body.
