The Phlebotomy Short Certificate Program at Wallace Community College prepares students for entry-level employment as skilled phlebotomists in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare settings. Through hands-on training and classroom instruction, students learn proper techniques for blood collection, specimen handling, safety procedures, and patient interaction. This short-term program provides the foundational skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a growing healthcare field.
Completers of the phlebotomy certificate are eligible to sit for the Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP) and Registered Phlebotomy Technician (AMT) certification examinations.
