Step 1: Apply for Admissions.

  • Haven’t applied? Submit an admissions application for the appropriate semester you plan to attend.  Provide admissions with your official transcripts from high school/GED and all colleges attended.
  • Students must be “un”conditionally admitted by the admissions office to receive federal aid. Please contact admissions to determine any outstanding documents they may need.  Apply to WCC HERE.

Step 2: Submit your FAFSA

  • Create FSA ID. Both student and parent (if applicable) need an FSA ID to sign and successfully submit the application. Create FSA ID HERE.
  • Submit your FAFSA application for the appropriate award year. 2023-2024 FAFSA = Fall 2023 through Summer 2024. Uses 2021 Federal tax information.
  • Submit your FAFSA application for the appropriate award year. 2024-2025 FAFSA = Fall 2024 through Summer 2025. Uses 2022 Federal tax information.
  • If your parent does not have a social security number, use all zeros in the FAFSA application. You will be required to print a signature page for the parent that must be mailed directly to federal student aid (not WCC) to process the signature. FAFSA applications without signature(s) cannot be accessed by the college.
  • Submit your FAFSA using school code 001018 HERE.
  • FAFSA applications can also be submitted through the myStudentAid mobile app.

Step 3: What’s next?

  • WCC typically receives FAFSA applications 3-5 business days after being successfully submitted. Monitor your WCC student e-mail and OneACCS MyWCC student portal for notification.

  • Most students are selected for verification by FAFSA and must submit additional documentation. Use this FAQ document to navigate your OneACCS MyWCC account and locate outstanding financial requirements.

  • Once all required documents are submitted please allow 3-5 business days for processing (typically much sooner) so that your final eligibility can be determined.

Step 4: Remain in good academic standing!

  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). This is assessed at the end of each term for all students. Students can access their SAP status in their MyWCC student. Emails are sent providing updated statuses at the end of each term.
