Mission Statement

The Mathematics Division offers a wide range of courses designed to meet the academic needs of students pursuing an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science degrees, and/or certificate programs. The mission of this division is to provide instruction and curricula to support and develop the potential of each student to become a productive member of society by earning credits to successfully transfer to a university or to enter the workforce with a skillset to successfully perform job duties. The courses are offered in traditional, hybrid, and online formats.

Mathematics Tutoring Center

The Mathematics Discipline is dedicated to providing students with assistance throughout the entire learning process. Each full-time faculty member is willing to work individually with students. However, students may need assistance at times when full-time faculty members are not available. Mathematics Tutoring Centers, staffed with a Lab Director and/or Assistant Lab Directors, faculty and peer tutor(s), are located on the Wallace and Sparks campuses. Students can access course materials on computers and obtain assistance with math courses offered on either campus in these tutoring centers. An appointment is required. Locations and hours of operation are listed in the Math Lab link below:
